Arts and Cultural Activities
Lincoln County and the city of Lincolnton host many cultural events and
are home to a variety of galleries, theatre guilds and community centers that promote the arts and creative industries in the county. For patrons of the arts, this area is a wonderful place to live as it is full of arts and cultural venues.
The Lincoln Cultural Center is the community hub for the arts and is home to not only the cultural center but also the Lincoln Arts Council, the Lincoln County Museum of History, and the Lincoln Theatre Guild. Several events take place here annually, and the cultural center regularly hosts craft classes that take hands on learning to a whole
new level.
The Lincoln Arts Council, housed downtown in the cultural center building, features rotating artists and hosts classes and workshops regularly for the greater community. The arts council and the numerous galleries surrounding this area are
great places to browse for inspiration as well as to
see visual art. For even more visual art, peruse some of the many art galleries in Lincolnton or spend the day in Charlotte exploring the Art Institute of Charlotte’s gallery and the Mint Museum of Art.
 Are you a supporter of the performing arts? The Lincoln Theatre Guild entertains the masses with regular productions and even hosts many workshops for the greater community. The theatre guild’s Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre is always a big hit
- be sure to enjoy one of these events! Also, the Lincoln Choral Guild and the Lincoln Community Concert Association are big supporters of artists and talented musicians in the area.
They sponsor and provide some truly incredible concerts annually. Do you enjoy group concerts? No need to travel to the city to hear spectacular chamber music and the soothing sounds of the symphony; Lincoln County is home to a chapter of the famed North Carolina Symphony.
